Jin Hong Lee is an attorney specializing in shipping and insurance industries and international trade-related court actions and arbitrations. 

Mr. Lee has handled numerous marine accidents, carriage cases and charter party disputes and marine insurance cases mainly for shipowners and P&I clubs and various underwriters. 

Since joining Kim & Chang in 1985, he has successfully handled many cases involving various maritime matters, insurance/reinsurance disputes, litigations and arbitrations over international trade disputes. 

Outside of the firm, he was a professor at Dong-A University from 2005 to 2007 and a lecturer at the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea and other various universities. 

Mr. Lee is the author of many publications and a member of various associations and committees, including the Korean Bar Association, Korean Commercial Arbitration Board, Korean Marine Safety Tribunal Collision Liability Assessment Committee and the Korean Supreme Court’s International Treaty Committee. 

Mr. Lee received a Shipping Law Diploma from UCL, University of London, an LL.M. from the Graduate School of Law, Seoul National University and his LL.B. from the College of Law, Seoul National University. He also attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea and worked at the San Francisco office of Lillik & Charles. Mr. Lee is admitted to the Korean bar.
