Bio

Jong Hyun Kim is an attorney at Kim & Chang. He provides legal advice on criminal issues related to the Serious Accidents Punishment Act, occupational safety and health, HR and labor, corporate criminal and white-collar crimes.

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Kim served as a prosecutor for about 21 years at the Ministry of Justice, the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors’ Office and the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office. As a public prosecutor, he investigated various criminal cases.

In particular, Mr. Kim worked at the Department of National Security, Election and Labor, of many Prosecutors’ Offices, including the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office. Through this experience he acquired extensive experience in public investigation cases such as labor, industrial accidents and election crimes.

Mr. Kim also served as Director of the Criminal Justice Policy Office of the Supreme Prosecutors’ Office, and has extensive experience and deep understanding of the overall criminal justice process, including the search and seizure system.
