Bio

Geonyoung Go, an attorney at Kim & Chang’s Aerospace & Defense Practice, provides legal advice in the fields of public contracts, defense projects and defense security related to the state, public institutions and public enterprises. Mr. Go has extensive experience in domestic litigation, international arbitration and foreign litigation (US, Singapore) involving major domestic and overseas defense companies.

Mr. Go has 20 years of experience in international and domestic contracts, defense business practice and civil, administrative and criminal cases involving the Republic of Korea Air Force and Defense Acquisition Program Administration (“DAPA”). He was responsible for arbitration and foreign litigation related to international contracts for four years at DAPA. As a result, he has a deep understanding of overseas defense companies, such as US, German and Israeli companies, and has knowledge of US FMS and commercial purchase. When he worked in the Air Force, Mr. Go participated in aircraft accident compensation negotiations with domestic and overseas fighter manufacturers. After retiring from the military as a lieutenant colonel in 2024, he joined Kim and Chang’s Aerospace & Defense Practice.

When Mr. Go worked at the DAPA, he taught the “International Arbitration and Foreign Litigation” subject to members of the DAPA, the National Police Agency and defense companies for years as a lecturer at the Defense Acquisition Program Training Institute. He presented the “Plan for the Development of Digital Forensic Investigation Capabilities” at the National Assembly Military Law Development Conference in 2019.
