- Acted as a main case handler assisting a joint venture of the world’s largest EPC contractors in relation to a USD 500 million LCIA nuclear power plant dispute, covering the full spectrum of construction and engineering issues.
- Involved in a high-profile LMAA dispute arising out of LNG cargo container vessels.
- Involved in a USD 1 billion ICC dispute arising out of offshore construction (FPSO) project and advised an Australian project owner on preliminary measures (injunction and attachment court proceedings) and settlment issues.
- Assisted a Korean shipbuilder in a LMAA dispute regarding four semi-submersible rigs including issues concerning design responsibility.
- Conducted a SIMC mediation in Singapore for a joint venture commercial dispute arising from development of palm oil project.Involved in a USD 100 million construction dispute arising out of an aluminum rolling plant in the Middle East.
- Assisted various Korean EPC contractors in preparing variation and EoT claims under the lump-sum, turn-key EPC contract in connection with high value projects including power, water, oil refinery and petrochemical plants.
- Advised a Japanese sub-contractor (main equipment supplier) in a LCIA nuclear power plant dispute.
- Advised a Korean shipbulider, and involved in contract negotiations, in connection with a resale of newly built drillship.
- Advised a Korean shipbuilder in relation to an option agreement relating to sale and purchase of over 40 LNG vessels.
- Advised a Korean insurer in relation to large-scale environmental (including oil pollution) claims under the Bunker Convention 2001 and shipowners’ limitation of liability proceedings.
- Conducted numerous LMAA arbitration disputes involving charterparties, commodities trading, delay and demurrage claims.
- Advised the two largest Korean game companies in separate disputes arising from licensing agreements.
- Involved in the New York and English court proceedings for a Korean resinurance company in relation to breach of utmost good faith duties and late notice
- Prepared expert evidence on English law relating to the bills of lading and carrier’s obligations under the Hague/Hague-Visby Rules.
- Advised a shipowner in a LMAA arbitration dispute arising out of a total loss of ship following a fire incident.
- Advised owners’ interests in a dispute over salvage compensation following the grounding of a car-carrier.
