Bio

Hae-Yong Yoo is a litigation attorney at Kim & Chang practicing in civil, criminal and administrative law. Mr. Yoo primarily works on cases appealed to the Supreme Court of Korea, corporate restructuring cases including rehabilitation, and antitrust law cases.

While serving as a judge of various courts for 25 years, Mr. Yoo in particular handled appeals as a chief research judge and a senior research judge at the Supreme Court of Korea. Mr. Yoo also dealt with cases involving corporate rehabilitation and bankruptcy for three years while at the Bankruptcy Division of the Seoul Central District Court, and served as a chief judge of the international transactions division of the Seoul High Court while simultaneously serving as a chair of the International Trade Law Research Association at the Supreme Court of Korea. In 2007, Mr. Yoo received the 11th legal thesis award from the Korean Society of Law for his paper on antitrust law. While practicing as an attorney, Mr. Yoo achieved successful outcomes on several civil, criminal and administrative litigation cases.
