Bio

Ye Sun Han is an attorney at Kim & Chang. She practices primarily in the areas of Antitrust & Competition, Mergers & Acquisitions, Foreign Investment and Antitrust Litigation. 

Ms. Han has extensive experience in representing multinational and domestic companies in connection with various antitrust issues concerning cartel matters, unfair supports, joint ventures, unfair business practice of retailers and e-commerce, and merger controls. She practices mainly before the Korean Fair Trade Commission (KFTC) and the Korean courts. 

Ms. Han has defended substantial merger investigations and other civil and criminal investigations involving a wide variety of industries, including automotive, auto components, marine transportation, retails and online markets, energy, ICT, and telecommunications. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Ms. Han was a partner at Shin & Kim’s antitrust practice group and worked for multiple high-profile clients. Ms. Han also worked at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati’s New York office as a foreign legal specialist dealing with multi-jurisdictional investigation conducted by major competition authorities. 

She has authored and co-authored various publications, including the second and third editions of “E-Commerce Competition Enforcement Guide: Korea Chapter” (Global Competition Review). 

Ms. Han received an LL.M. from Columbia Law School in 2017, and her LL.B. from Korea University College of Law in 2008. She attended the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2011. She is admitted to the Korean bar and the New York bar.
