Hyomin Kim is an attorney who serves as a member of the firm’s Investment Management Practice, Securities Practice, and Capital Markets Practice.
Prior to joining Kim & Chang in 2018, Mr. Kim had worked for the Financial Supervisory Service (FSS) since 2013, specializing in financial regulatory framework, especially related to securities and financial investment companies. Mr. Kim, working at the Financial Investment Companies Examination Unit of the FSS, reviewed examination reports and sanction documents on securities and financial investment companies, and also was in charge of reviewing and drafting no-action letters issued by the FSS.
Before working at the FSS, Mr. Kim worked for Bae, Kim & Lee LLC as a member of the general corporate practice team from 2009 to 2013, where he acted as the lead attorney of various M&A transactions and private financial transactions.
Mr. Kim received an LL.B. from the College of Law, Seoul National University in 2002 and graduated from the Judicial Research and Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea in 2006. He is admitted to the Korea bar.
