Bio

Jung-Chull Lee is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. His practice covers a broad range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private equity, foreign direct investment, public offerings, private placements, corporate governance, and strategic partnerships and joint ventures, and he has represented a number of multinational corporations as well as strategic and financial investors in both cross-border and domestic transactions. 

Mr. Lee also handles technology and intellectual property transactions for a wide range of software, electronics, telecommunications, cloud computing, digital media, Internet, e-commerce, social networking, clean technology and life sciences companies, including intellectual property license agreements, technology development and supply agreements, strategic intellectual property asset purchases and sales, and intellectual property litigation settlement agreements. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Lee worked at prominent law firms in New York and Silicon Valley for 11 years, where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private equity investments, private transactions, international securities offerings and technology and IP-related transactions. 

Mr. Lee is a frequent speaker on the topic of M&A, venture capital and IP matters, and he was a speaker at Stanford University’s US-Asia Technology Management Center School of Engineering to lecture on the “Entrepreneurial Ecosystem of Korea: New Trends in Acceleration and Internationalization,” which was part of a lecture series entitled “New Trends in Startup Company Acceleration: Toward the Rise of the Global Startup.” 

Mr. Lee received his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 2004, and his B.A. from Seoul National University in 2000. He also received a Certificate in Business and Public Policy from the University of Pennsylvania, The Wharton School in 2004. He is admitted to the New York and California bars.

Jung-Chull Lee is a foreign attorney at Kim & Chang. His practice covers a broad range of legal matters, including mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financings, private equity, foreign direct investment, public offerings, private placements, corporate governance, and strategic partnerships and joint ventures, and he has represented a number of multinational corporations as well as strategic and financial investors in both cross-border and domestic transactions.
