Gyu Won Choi is an attorney at Kim & Chang who practices in the Corporate Compliance, Anti-Corruption & Internal Investigations, and Antitrust & Competition fields. Mr. Choi also has extensive experience in digital forensics and legal tech, regularly advising clients on data preservation, data collection, data processing, document review, privilege issues, and data privacy.

Mr. Choi has advised some of the largest multinational companies in the world, as well as major domestic companies, on establishing and strengthening their internal compliance programs. Drawing on his vast experience conducting risk and compliance program assessments across a wide range of industries, including pharmaceutical, medical devices, electronics, IT, automobiles, chemicals and supply chain, Mr. Choi demonstrates excellent expertise in conducting risk analysis and providing integrated advice tailored to the unique features of each client company.

Mr. Choi has also successfully represented various domestic and foreign companies on complex antitrust matters, including multi-jurisdictional mergers, competitor collaborations, distribution agreements, intellectual property licensing, anti-cartel enforcement, monopolization cases and other conduct investigations. Given his keen sensitivity to the expectations and needs of each client business and targeted market, Mr. Choi is often called upon to provide reasonable and pragmatic solutions for clients in antitrust proceedings, strategic transactions and government investigations.

Mr. Choi also leads cutting-edge projects to assist clients in high-tech industries, ranging from consumer products, such as medical devices and automobiles, to financial technology (FinTech). He routinely advises such clients in both domestic and international markets on a broad array of legal, regulatory, commercial, and policy issues relating to the development and marketing of their unprecedented products or services.

Mr. Choi actively participates in external activities, frequently conducting lectures on compliance and antitrust issues for clients and various industry associations, such as the Korea Pharmaceutical Industry Association.
