Sung-Joon Cho is an attorney at Kim & Chang who mainly specializes in the field of labor and employment. In particular, he has extensive experience in lawsuits related to labor and employment, including those filed with the Labor Relations Commission.
Most notably, starting with his considerable contribution to the Supreme Court's unanimous ruling on ordinary wages in 2013, he has acquired a significant amount of experience in wage-related litigation, including ordinary wage cases, average wage cases, wage peak cases and performance-related bonus cases. In most of these cases, he has obtained a favorable result.
Having also successfully carried out many cases of dismissal, unfair labor practices and other labor-related matters, he has developed expertise in a variety of labor and employment issues. In addition, he provides human resources and labor-related advisory services to his clients.
Meanwhile, based on his experience of obtaining favorable results in various fields of litigation, such as general civil cases, criminal cases and constitutional litigation cases, he is able to provide a wide range of services to his clients beyond the labor and employment area.
He received his LL.B. from Seoul National University and his J.D. from Yonsei Law School. Having started his legal career at Kim & Chang, he continuously strives to contribute to the development of the firm.
