Bio

Jong Nam Oh, since his retirement from the public service in 2006, has been serving as a senior advisor at Kim & Chang, consulting for global, regional and national business leaders while teaching at Seoul National University.

Dr. Oh is the Chair of the Board of the ezCaretech. He is also the Chair of the Korea Human Development Institute (HDI), which was founded to develop human capacity for business leaders in 1975. He also serves as APAC Senior Advisor of BNY Mellon.

He served the Korean government for more than 30 years (1975-2006), working mostly at the Economic Planning Board (today’s Ministry of Economy and Finance).

He was also the Executive Director of IMF, where he represented 14 Asia-Pacific member countries, and UNICEF Korea, a Board member at GM Korea, the Chair of the Samsung Securities Inc., and Standard Chartered Bank Korea.

He earned his bachelor of law degree from Seoul National University in Korea, and his M.B.A. & Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Methodist University in Texas, US.
