Young Hoon Byun is an attorney at Kim & Chang and is primarily in charge of the firm's Japan Practice. 

Mr. Byun practices in a wide range of areas of corporate law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, strategic alliances and HR issues. During his over 30 years at the firm, Mr. Byun has advised numerous multinational trading companies, banks, securities houses and manufacturing companies. 

Mr. Byun acted as the Chairman of the Korea Japan Lawyers Association and the President of the Korean Harvard Law Club and frequently gives lectures and speeches on many occasions such as at LAWASIA. Mr. Byun has also taught M&A law at the Judicial Research & Training Institute of the Supreme Court of Korea.
