On October 25, 2022, Kim & Chang hosted the “Psychology and Cultural Appreciation: a Compass for International Disputes” webinar as part of the Hong Kong Arbitration Week 2022.
 
In this webinar, dispute resolution practitioners and arbitrators gathered in order to discuss several issues that commonly arise in cross-border disputes including: (i) the application of multiple languages; (ii) diverging approaches to settlement, and (iii) varying degrees of witness preparation.
 
This webinar was initiated with opening remarks from Kim & Chang attorney Byung-Chol Yoon.  During the interactive roundtable discussion, attorneys Byung-Woo Im, Sue Hyun Lim, Una Cho, Hyungkeun Lee and Harold Noh of Kim & Chang invited eminent arbitrators, including Matthew Gearing KC, May Tai, Ng Jern-Fei KC and Sally Harpole and discussed differences among Asian parties and emerging inter-generational differences.
