Sae Youn Kim, a senior member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, participated as a panel speaker at a conference hosted by the Singapore International Mediation Centre (“SIMC”) on August 31, 2022.

At this conference, the speakers, including Ms. Kim, discussed key issues on negotiation strategies throughout the mediation procedures and how to achieve successful mediation.  Also, the Specialist Mediator Empanelment Ceremony (“SIMC”), which was officiated by senior parliamentary secretary Rahayu Mahzam, was held in the latter part of the conference.

During the panel discussion, Ms. Kim discussed the key roles of counsel in mediation.  In particular, based on her actual experience in international mediation cases, she shared knowledge on how to establish an ideal solution strategy for clients and the principles of a negotiation strategy.
