On May 17, 2022, Shul Park, a member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, participated as a moderator at a webinar hosted by ICC YAF (International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum).

In the webinar titled “Law and Culture in North Asian Arbitration,” International arbitration practitioners, including Ms. Park, discussed how to determine the governing law of an arbitration agreement in light of Enka v Chubb, and relevant case law and practices in Japan and Korea.  In particular, they also shared stories about challenges faced by non-native English speakers in international arbitration and exchanged tips on how to overcome them.  Ms. Park, as the ICC YAF Regional Representative of the North Asia Chapter, organized the event.
