On September 14, 2021, Kim & Chang and Atkin Chambers co-hosted the first webinar of the “In Conversation with Kim & Chang and Atkin Chambers” series.

In this series, Kim & Chang and Atkin Chambers will address recent legal developments with relevance to international projects in the construction/infrastructure, energy, and shipbuilding sectors.

In the first webinar titled “Liquidated Damages and Contractual Limitation Clauses After Triple Point,” James Howells QC and Nicholas Maciolek of Atkin Chambers discussed a case of tremendous importance to parties engaged in international projects, the recent UK Supreme Court decision in Triple Point Technology, Inc v PTT Public Company Ltd [2021].  These distinguished members of the English Bar, who were instructed in the case by the prevailing party, explored the court’s analysis of liquidated damages and contractual limitation clauses in conversation with Byung-Woo Im and Matthew Christensen of Kim & Chang.
