On February 4, 2021, Hyemin Park and Edern Coent, members of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, spoke at a webinar hosted by the International Chamber of Commerce Young Arbitrators Forum (“ICC YAF”).

At this webinar titled “Debate on Hot Topics Introduced in the 2021 Rules of Arbitration,” the speakers, including Ms. Park and Mr. Coent, discussed changes in the 2021 ICC Rules of Arbitration.  Mr. Coent especially examined the impact of the revised rules on virtual hearing procedures.

As the ICC YAF Regional Representative of the North Asia Chapter, Ms. Park moderated two sessions of the webinar: “Do Virtual Hearings Without Parties’ Agreement Contravene Due Process?” and “Is Expedited Procedure Necessary?.”
