On November 3, 2020, Byung-Woo Im and Sungjean Seo, two members of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, spoke at a webinar on “Dispute Resolution in the COVID-19 Era” co-hosted by the Korean Council for International Arbitration (the “KOCIA”) and the Korea In-House Counsel Association (KICA).

As an officer of the KOCIA, Mr. Im oversaw the overall organization of the event and led the first panel discussion on providing in-house counsel with practical tips on effectively resolving overseas construction disputes.  Ms. Seo discussed ways to manage risks in supply chain and distributorship contracts in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Held as part of Seoul ADR Festival 2020, the webinar featured nine other well known practitioners active in the Korean arbitration community who shared their insights on developments in international arbitration and dispute resolution in relation to COVID-19.
