On November 5, 2020, Sae Youn Kim, a member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, participated in the 9th Asia Pacific ADR Virtual Conference. Titled “The New Arbitration Landscape: 2020 and Beyond,” the signature conference of Seoul ADR Festival was co-hosted by the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), Ministry of Justice, Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (KCAB), International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and Seoul International Dispute Resolution Center (SIDRC).
As the moderator for the session on international commercial arbitration, Ms. Kim led a session titled “Time for a New Momentum in Commercial Arbitration?” with panel members consisting of arbitrators, counsel, in-house counsel, and members of arbitral institutions and the UNCITRAL.
In the session, different stakeholders of international commercial arbitration held in-depth discussions on various positive changes that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought for the international commercial arbitration practice as well as further changes to come.
