On October 22, 2020, Sae Youn Kim, a member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, spoke at a webinar on “ICC Court Leadership in the COVID-19 Era” hosted by International Chamber of Commerce, Japan (“ICC Japan”).

As the first 2020 Arbitration Webinar Series hosted by ICC Japan, internationally renowned members of international arbitration attended and discussed how international arbitration has been transformed by COVID-19.

Ms. Kim, as an alternate member of the ICC Court, shared the ICC statistics for new cases this year.  She also participated in the discussion on the flexibility and adaptability of ICC arbitration in the pandemic era based on her experience including preparing and launching the Korean version of the ICC Guidance Note on Possible Measures Aimed at Mitigating the Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic.
