Younggi Jung, an attorney at Kim & Chang, gave a presentation on the legal framework for digital assets and related issues at the Digital Innovation Conference 2020, an event held to celebrate the first anniversary of the designation of Busan as a regulation-free zone for the blockchain industry.
Conference participants shared developments from the past year following the designation of the regulation-free zone for the blockchain industry as well as future plans, and discussed key sectors and issues of the virtual asset and digital finance sector.
The conference also offered an opportunity to introduce major cases of utilizing blockchain technologies, such as blockchain-based identity management, central bank digital currency (CBDC) and anti-money laundering (AML), and to identify potential joint blockchain projects as well as challenges in digital innovation.
This conference was jointly held by Korea Digital Innovation Alliance (KODIA), Busan Metropolitan City, Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Seoul Blockchain Support Center, Korea Blockchain Industry Promotion Agency and Korea Finance ICT Convergence Association.
