Chiyong Rim, an attorney in Kim & Chang’s Insolvency & Restructuring Practice, has been appointed as a member of a task force team formed by the Financial Services Commission (“FSC”) to examine the corporate restructuring system.

The task force team was formed to examine the operational direction of the corporate restructuring system based on an ancillary opinion presented when the Corporate Restructuring Promotion Act passed the National Assembly.  The FSC plans to submit a final report to the National Assembly on the result of discussions within the task force team discussed and compiled with authorities concerned.

Mr. Rim is taking an active part in task force team meetings, and recently, on July 26, 2019, he presided over a roundtable meeting held at Busan International Finance Center (BIFC), which was organized by the Korea Asset Management Corporation (KAMCO) to discuss the direction of corporate structure innovation centering on the capital market.
