On May 2, 2019, Hee-Chul Hwang, former Vice Minister of Justice and an attorney at Kim & Chang, was named as the chairman of the KBA Legal Aid Foundation. 

Established in 2003 by the Korean Bar Association, the KBA Legal Aid Foundation offers a wide range of legal assistance for those with limited access to legal services.
