At the 2018 International Tax Academy Award Ceremony and IFA 2018 Report Meeting, Je Heum Baik, an attorney in Kim & Chang’s Tax Practice, was awarded the Tax Thesis Award for his paper on “Improvement for Withholding Tax on International Transactions.”

The International Fiscal Association (IFA) Korea hosted the event to celebrate the successful completion of the IFA Congress held in Seoul in September 2018, and to recognize the most outstanding academic papers.  

The Tax Thesis Award is the most prestigious prize in the field of international taxation, and is awarded to the most creative and outstanding papers published in the past year in the Journal of IFA Korea, which is a registered publication of the National Research Foundation of Korea.
