On April 20, 2017, O-Gon Kwon was appointed as chairman of the Ministry of Justice Legal Counsel Committee for Human Rights in North Korea. 

The Legal Counsel Committee for Human Rights in North Korea was established in April 2017 with the mission to help solve human rights-related issues in North Korea.

As a chairman of the committee, Mr. Kwon will lead and participate in discussions concerning legal issues and potential punishments against illegal actions taken by the North Korean regime.
