Sae Youn Kim, a member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, participated in a seminar on how to promote the arbitration industry, jointly hosted by the Korean Association of Arbitration Studies (“KAAS”), the Korean Arbitrators Association, the Korean Council for International Arbitration (“KOCIA”) and the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board (the “KCAB”) on February 12, 2026.
The seminar, attended by arbitration experts and representatives from public institutions and corporations, featured in-depth discussions on the KCAB’s newly amended International Arbitration Rules and strategies to promote arbitration within the public sector.
Ms. Kim, serving as the President of the KOCIA, shared key insights on advancing the arbitration industry during her opening speech. Ms. Kim called for active interest and collaboration from institutions, corporations and practitioners to substantively contribute to the revitalization of the arbitration sector.
