Una Cho, a member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice, participated as a presenter in a seminar titled “The Future of ADR Practitioners: Trends in Asia, ESG, Advocacy & Fee Models” organized by the Singapore International Mediation Centre (the “SIMC”).  The seminar was held on November 8, 2022 at Trade Tower, Seoul, as part of the Seoul ADR Festival 2022.

The seminar took the form of an interactive discussion among dispute resolution practitioners, especially mediation experts.  The panelists, including Ms. Cho, discussed various issues related to mediation, such as recent trends and “Green mediation.”

Ms. Cho shared her insights in the “Opportunities in ESG, Green Mediation and Advocacy” session of the seminar.  In particular, Ms. Cho discussed the need for mediation and the advocacy skills that mediation practitioners will need in order to resolve international disputes which will invariably arise in relation to ESG requirements.
