Kim & Chang was recognized as the “Best Advisor of the Year” at the 19^th Korea IB Awards hosted by Money Today, one of Korea’s leading economic daily newspapers.

Kim & Chang was credited with successfully concluding a series of mega deals worth trillions.  In particular, our firm provided legal services to eBay Inc. for the sale of eBay Korea, which was worth USD 3 billion, and contributed to the smooth closing of the transaction by designing a transaction structure that increased the certainty of closing and the possibility of government approval.  Our legal services were also recognized to have actively contributed to the successful closing of the deal by responding to various regulatory issues pertaining to Korean laws regulating human resources, foreign exchange, and anti-competition throughout the transaction.  In addition, in a transaction where global private equity fund KKR invested KRW 2.4 trillion in SK E&S RCPS, the services provided by Kim & Chang succeeded in drawing up a contract that was satisfactory for both parties and that responded to the legal issues arising from the complex rights structure between the parties.
