Mr. Sang-Mook Lee, Jaehong Lee, Jason W. Lee and Jeremy A. Everett of Kim & Chang participated in the Korea Tax & Customs Conference 2015.

The conference covered recent tax developments and trends in international tax and customs area and was attended by more than 170 participants, who were mostly accountants, lawyers, and finance and tax specialists in major corporations and banks.

Mr. Jaehong Lee gave a presentation on the ‘penalty aspects of VAT Law’ and Mr. Jeremy Everett participated as moderator in a session entitled ‘handling disputes after tax audit – administrative appeal, tax tribunal, courts, arbitration and MAP - which works best?’.  Mr. Sang-Mook Lee and Mr. Jason W. Lee took part as panelists in sessions entitled the ‘scope and effectiveness of tax and customs rulings, including APAs and ACVAs’ and ‘recent audit and customs trends in Korea,’ respectively.
