Bio

Mikyung (MK) Choe is a foreign attorney in the Intellectual Property Practice and the Industrial Security and Export Control Practice.

Since she joined Kim & Chang in 1994, she has been involved in a variety of IP and technology transaction and litigation cases. She has participated in major M&A cases as an IP expert and accumulated extensive experience in a broad spectrum of IP areas covering patents, trade secrets, copyrights, software, trademarks and plant variety protection.

Ms. Choe has worked with major multinational pharmaceutical and medical device companies as well as bio startups. Her experience in the healthcare field covers R&D or IP-related transactions and regulatory compliances.

She has been actively involved in export control-related matters, including advice on compliance, defense of police investigation, voluntary self-disclosure, compliance check-up and export license applications.
