Sae Youn Kim, a member of the International Arbitration & Cross-Border litigation Practice at Kim & Chang, was appointed as a Vice-Chair of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association (the “IBA”), effective from January 2021.

Comprised of the most renowned figures in international arbitration, the Arbitration Committee is one of the most active committees within the IBA.  Ms. Kim served as the only Korean practitioner as the Arbitration Committee’s Officer (Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Group which is one of the sub-committees of the Arbitration Committee) from January 2019, and has now been appointed as a Vice-Chair from Asia starting from January 1, 2021. 

As one of the two Vice-Chairs appointed from Asia, Ms. Kim will be actively involved in promoting the IBA Arbitration Committee’s various activities in the Asian region and Korea.
