Jung Min Lee, a member of Kim & Chang’s Fintech & IT Compliance Practice, was appointed as a member of a legal advisory panel organized to help the launch of a central bank digital currency (“CBDC”) and cryptocurrencies to be rolled out by the Bank of Korea.

The advisory panel aims to clarify legal issues concerning the Bank of Korea’s issuance of CBDC, which remains unclear at the moment.
