Kay-Jannes Wegner is a senior member of Kim & Chang’s International Arbitration & Cross-Border Litigation Practice and Engineering & Construction Practice, and is leading Kim & Chang’s European Arbitration Desk.  

Mr. Wegner represents clients in disputes arising out of wide ranging subject matters including telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, construction and joint ventures and has experience sitting as arbitrator in international disputes.  

He is German and English qualified and appointed to the KCAB and the SHIAC panel of international arbitrators as well as to the HKIAC list of Arbitrators.  He is also appointed to the KCAB’s Council for International Arbitration.

Mr. Wegner has been appointed as the country reporter for Korea on the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) Board of Reporters since 2011, publishing updates on Korean arbitration decisions on Kluwer Arbitration.

Mr. Wegner is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators and President of the Korea chapter.

He is recognised in Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners.

He further serves as the Reporter for South Korea for the Arbitration Guidelines and Rules Subcommittee of the Arbitration Committee of the International Bar Association leading the survey for South Korea. 

Prior to joining Kim & Chang, Mr. Wegner practiced international arbitration both in London and Singapore.
